The trouble is, you think you have time
“The trouble is, you think you have time. You do, but not time to waste.”
- Alain Burrese
The problem is that we live life without any idea how much time we have left. The deeply saddening shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 reminds me again that life is short and incredibly precious.
If you knew that you only had a few days, you would put your affairs in order.
If you knew that you only had a few weeks or months, you would perhaps do something you’ve always wanted to do.
If you knew that you had a few years, you might do likewise.
But we live as if we have all the time. We do have time, some limited time. But we cannot waste it because we simply do not know when our egg timer will be empty.
That uncertainty should make us live each day fully.
But actually, we do the opposite, we assume that we have time, and we waste it.
If you don’t have the acting career that you want. If you are doing something that you hate. It’s time to wake up.
You don’t have ANY time to waste.
It’s time to take action today.
If there’s something that you want to do. Make a film, write a book, become an actor – start that journey today.
Act like you don’t have time to waste and you will not waste the time you’ve been given.
Do what makes your heart sing today.
Don’t look back with bitter regret on a life half lived, lived for others, live for security that bought you nothing that made your heart sing.
