Play with Abandon
When we spend time learning a technique, we get stuck into it with energy, especially when we start to see how it works.
But, we can forget to play, we forget that our historical name is PLAYERS and that when we play, we must play with utter abandon, we must let go and commit to the moment.
Too much time spent trying to ‘get it right’ results in boring, stilted, mechanical work. However, until a technique is habituated, we will feel clunky and uncomfortable. That’s natural. But when you finally get to play – play! play with abandon, play like you have no cares, play with ease, play with lightness and play to enjoy every moment of it.
