Pareto or Bust
Over the past four days, I’ve challenged you to take part in some activities that will get your path to success firmly ON TRACK.
But there are many of you that read the blogs, and didn’t do anything.
There are many that read them, got quite inspired and didn’t do anything.
There are many that retweeted the blogs, thought they were a great idea, but decided it just wouldn’t work for you and didn’t do anything.
There are many that started the task, got bored and didn’t do anything.
There are some who did the first activity, gave up and didn’t do anything.
There are a few that got a pad and a pen and quietly started the psycho-neuro-motor (writing with your hand uses all these areas) route to success. And it’s those people that you are going to see succeeding. It’s those people that others are going to call ‘lucky’ or ‘talented’. Two insults to hard working actors. And you’re going to know that it wasn’t luck or talent, it was simply that they had a goal, they broke it down into chunks, they worked daily towards their goals, and then AS IF BY MAGIC they were an ‘overnight’ success.
20% of successful working actors get 80% of the work. That means that 80% of actors are fighting like hyenas over the scraps of 20% of the remaining work. It’s called the Pareto Principle.
Now which one do you want to be? The 20 or the 80.
Get the pad, get the pen. And start writing.
And tomorrow, take the first steps to achieving your goal. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day. And the next day.
Or as long as it takes.
