The Duncan Llywelyn Campbell Bursary

With the support of his family, a bursary has been created at ACS in memory of Duncan, a talented and committed Actor.

Duncan was due to start the Professional Diploma course in September 2023 yet had to defer due to illness. Prior to joining ACS, Duncan was an established poet and author, as well as actor, including three appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019, 2022 and in 2023, with his one-man show about his mental health battles, The Suicide Notes. Duncan had gained plenty of knowledge and practical acting experience, and was looking to join ACS to benefit from a structured and professional approach to help further his acting ambitions.

Duncan passed away in August 2024 after a three year battle with brain cancer. We are very thankful that Duncan’s family wish to celebrate his life and passion in a practical way, by helping others be able to train for a career in this rewarding, but very demanding industry.
