This is the Simple Formula for Progress

1 > 0

Gary Vaynerchuk has famously reminded us: 1 is greater than 0.  And this is something that actors can learn too.

One is greater than Zero. Doing is better than not doing.

Auditioning is better than not auditioning. A T.I.E tour is better than no tour. A small role in a short film is better than no role in no film.

Yes, we all want instant success and fame, but 1 > 0.

If you are sitting around waiting for the big projects, you aren’t letting this simple formula work for you.

Of course, you can’t sit around on your ass when these projects come in. These must become learning opportunities.

How do you lose weight? 1 lb at a time. How do you learn a new language? 1 word at a time. How do you climb a mountain? 1 step at a time. You are no different. Start with ONE. It’s great progress.
