Security is an Illusion: Do It Now!

We are all waiting for the right time. We are always waiting for the right moment. We have learned that when we wait, nothing goes horribly wrong. If we wait, if we do not take action, we do not risk, we do not fail, we do not get hurt. We are weak and we want to protect ourselves. It's completely understandable.

Our need for security tells us that when we finally have enough time, money, freedom etc, we will act, we will take action towards our real goals. But first, we just need to get the security that we seek.

However, the pursuit of security is essentially endless and we pour all of our energy into it. And it is a black hole. And it will swallow up whatever you have to give it, it will take without stopping. It will take up our most precious commodity: time.

We feel like we have forever, but the truth is that we do not. We are limited by how much time we have on earth and we do not know when our supply will be cut off.

The security you hide behind is an illusion. Security does not make you happy. It makes you safe. Safe and fulfilled are not the same thing.

Artists and creative people, they forego this security to get to do they love. But they give up on certain luxuries to do that.

Yes, they are often miserable about not always having money for the luxuries in life. But when they get to do their thing, when they are doing their art, nothing beats it.

Security is an illusion, while you're wasting time trying to get secure, you're missing out on getting what you really want.

Do what you love now, it will be too late by the time you regret not doing it.
