Here’s a clip from a Canadian television show, successful British director Adrian Noble is directing the actor, he does offer her a way, a HOW to, approach this text BUT, watch what she does, there’s no change of how, there’s no alternative tactics or ‘actions’, there’s only increase of loudness. We see this often, the director gives very clear advice to the actor, but the actor is unable to translate it into the characteristics of behaviour, or action.
