Billy Bob Thornton Not a Fan of Method Acting

They say that unless you use the Method, your acting is shallow and devoid of emotion and imagination. Well at least one Hollywood actor sees through the flimsy bullshit of method acting. In a recent article in the NME he was quoted saying “I think that’s one of the biggest secrets in Hollywood, this whole ‘Method’ of acting. People want there to be a science to acting and that
science is interesting. It makes it seem so fucking smart. And I believe that you’re either a good actor or you’re not.” Method
acting is a way of telling everyone how hard you work as an actor, showing how serious you are about your craft, but in the end, it’s nonsense.
