Without a doubt, voice is one of the most essential components of reaching your potential as an actor. Even if your goal isn't to be a professional performer, strong, confident vocal projection and clear, articulate speech will always be an asset to performing or presenting in any walk of life.
The voice is so important. Think how much the voice reveals about a person. Every character you play will have a unique way of expressing themselves vocally. Our job is to develop the skills to move from character to character giving each a new and distinctive voice of their own.

Improv is one of the best ways I have found as an actor to learn how to really listen, trust your instincts, and be in the moment. You learn how to truly place your focus on the other people in your scene and work together to make something you couldn't have built on your own. The Improv class at ACS has been one of the highlights of my week. The technical instruction is solid and challenging while being executed in a safe and wonderfully fun environment. Nick is an incredible coach who creates a fantastic playground where you feel safe to try new things, explore new techniques, and express yourself in new and fun ways. I cherish both this class and my wonderful classmates.Dani Payne
